About the Provider

Birth is a profound moment in the story of each human. My first introduction to birth began as a teenager while growing up in Minnesota. My friend’s mother was midwife and her birth stories always fascinated me. I became more passionate about birth as I understood birth is a moment of transformation for baby, mother and family. It’s a space of personal reflection, ‘who will I be as a mother?’ ‘What kind of family will I create?’ There is space to reflect, choose and become. During labor I meet mothers with presence and calm as they undergo a transformation into motherhood. Life comes fourth beautifully and each time I cry witnessing it. I began doula work in 2017 after completing certification as a DONA International birth doula. I have attended births in hospitals and home births. Most importantly, I support families to choose the birth setting that best matches their values. In Minnesota, I worked for Everyday Miracles, a non-profit serving low income families. I primarily provided doula services to Latino families. In 2019, I became a licensed massage therapist. My clients enjoy the calming effects of therapeutic massage during pregnancy and birth. As a dancer and certified yoga teacher I bring an embodied approach to supporting doula clients that encourages clients to reflect upon their own stories. I highly value families in receiving quality evidence-based information during the pregnancy year. My hope is birthing people feel empowered during their birth. When the birthing person is well cared for prenatally and during labor, babies tend to be born more gently and peacefully. I hope to bring my expertise to your family.
