‘Ohana receive weekly home visits where they have the opportunity to grow in positive parenting practices, learn about their child’s development, and build a loving relationship between parent and child. Our Parent Educators provide the Parents as Teachers (PAT) and Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) programs as a part of the Your ‘Ohana Network of the state of Hawai’i.

Prenatal to age 5 (must enter by 2) PAT has a vision that all keiki will grow and develop to reach their full potential. Through PAT, 'ohana will partner with a Parent Educator, focused on keikiʻs health and development. 'Ohana will receive weekly home visits that support parent-child interactions, development centered parenting, and overall 'ohana well-being. Visits are personalized to fit each 'ohana needs, concerns, and hopes. Age 3 to Kindergarten Entry HIPPY supports 'ohana in their critical role as their keikiʻs first and best teacher. The caregiver is pro-vided with a set of carefully developed curriculum to include activities and books designed to strengthen their child’s creativity, cognitive skills, early literacy and language development, social-emotional development, and motor skills through weekly home visits.
