About the Provider

Aloha! I began my interest in birth work over 7 years ago when I began specializing in studio newborn photography and volunteering with over 50 families experiencing perinatal loss. Beyond my Photography and Illustration degree (BFA / Savannah College of Art & Design), I sought to expand my knowledge of maternal and infant care so that I could better serve families in my studio. After encouragement from the Labor/Delivery staff, midwives, families, and other birth workers, I began serving as a birth doula and received my training from DONA International (Washington, D.C.), along with multiple studies and certifications in Pregnancy and Infant Loss. In the community I am proud to have dedicated my time and resources to organizations such as Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies, Birth Professionals of O‘ahu, CoronaCare Hawai‘i, Planned Parenthood, am a proud Return to Zero Luminary, and serve on the Community Based Doula team which aims to decrease disparities and improve outcomes for our communities of color in Hawai‘i. I strongly believe that all births should be honored and all families supported. Mahalo for taking the time to consider me as an addition to your birth team. xo
