Birthworkers spend so much of their lives holding space for other people. This circle is a place where doulas get to be held, too. Pacific Birth Collective’s Doula Support Circle is a free professional community space for doulas throughout Hawaiʻi to connect, reflect, talk story, share resources and knowledge, discuss the realities of birthwork, and strengthen relationships with one another. Supporting families can be deeply meaningful work, but it can also carry emotional weight, long hours, difficult births, secondary stress, isolation, and burnout. Sustainable birthwork requires community—not competition. Whether you are an experienced doula, newly practicing, or growing into this work, you are welcome. Together we can build a stronger network of birthworkers who learn from one another, care for one another, and ultimately provide stronger care for our communities.
